Two IPs In A Pod
Brilliant inventions, fresh product designs, iconic brand names and artistic creativity are not only the building blocks of successful business - they deliver a better world for us all. But these valuable forms of intellectual property must be protected in order to flourish. We are the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys - the UK's largest intellectual property organisation. Our hosts Lee Davies and Gwilym Roberts chat with entrepreneurs, creatives, patent attorneys and the occasional judge about how patents, trade marks, designs and copyright can improve our lives and solve problems for humanity.
Two IPs In A Pod
The Earthshot Series - HydroHertz
The Earthshot Prize is the world's most high-profile environmental awards programme and CIPA has been involved from the very beginning. Every year it awards one million pounds each to 5 nominated winners and CIPA is delighted to be an official nominator. On this special series of Two IPs in a Pod, we're joined by our amazing nominees and their patent attorneys to talk about how their inventions will transform the world.
First up is Hyrdohertz, an innovation in advanced thermal management that increases the energy efficiency of electric vehicles. Founder and Chief Engineer Martyn Talbot, and Cory Stobart and Rachel Biggin from Adamson Jones, join Gwilym and special co-host, CIPA Deputy Chief Executive Neil Lampert. They talk about their hopes of winning the Earthshot Clean Air category and the importance of IP protection in developing the business.
